Providing Hope to the student online experience, HIU.edu provides an outlet of information for all new, current and prospective students both online and on campus.

Hope International University is a private Christian University founded in 1928 that focuses on empowering students through Christian higher education. Hope provides online resources to students that range from online courses, campus activities and chapel messages.

The Challenge

Creating an online resource for students is a difficult task, for Hope, their current website was not fitting the needs of its growing student population. It became evident that students and faculty alike were in need of a streamline way of maneuvering HIU.edu while also being able to customize various areas of content. Driving traffic to the new website and increasing registration for online students was also a top priority for Hope as their mission to help further educate through the word of Christ.

The Solution

We were up for this assignment and began by creating a comprehensive strategy for HIU.edu that met both the needs of faculty and students while increasing HIU’s online visibility. Architecture and design of the new website focused on the various levels of visitors that would include current, new, prospective and international students. By implementing a custom Content Management System, HIU students and faculty can contribute, edit, and organize courses and messaging throughout the site. As the site began to take shape, we also began implementing SEO best practices that will continue to push HIU’s search ranking among Christian Colleges worldwide.
